  Sinfonia  

The Greenville County Sinfonia, under the direction of Mr. Eric Bell, is the intermediate-level honors ensemble.  Sinfonia is a full symphony orchestra that includes winds, brass and percussion as well as strings. They perform grade 3 literature. These students perform in the Middle School Orcestra Festival, The Winter Orchestras concert held at Wade Hampton High School, and the Spring Orchestras concert held at the Peace Center Concert hall.  Rehearsal will be held on Monday's from 4:15 - 6:00 at the Fine Arts Center beginning the Monday following Labor Day.  Sinfonia members are expected to pay a one time $50.00 participation fee at the beginning of the school year.

  Chamber Strings

Chamber Strings, under the direction of Mrs. Ashley Youngblood,  focuses on grade level 2 literature, with an emphasis on technique building through repertoire. This ensemble will perform in the Winter Orchestras concert held at Wade Hampton High School  and the Spring Orchestras concert held at the Peace Center Concert Hall.  Chamber rehearses Mondays from 4:15 - 5:30 at Greenville Middle School.  Chamber Strings members are expected to pay a one time $50.00 participation fee at the beginning of the school year.

  Junior Sinfonia 

The Greenville County Junior Sinfonia is the advanced-beginner honors ensemble.  Orchestra teachers at each school identify students to participate in this strings-only ensemble.  They meet the second half of the school year and perform in the Spring Orchestras concert in April.  Jr. Sinfonia members are expected to pay a one time $25.00 participation fee at their first rehearsal.
